Mandarin Melee
Recipe by Steve Rodis
Ingredients
6 large mandarins (preferably seedless)
2 bananas
1 large ripe avocado (I find hass to be best)
1 handfull of unsalted macadamias (preferably unroasted)
Method
Segment the mandarins, roughly chop the avocado and bananas and crush/chop the macadamias till they are about a quarter whole size. Combine all ingredients and enjoy.
This is best prepared just before eating and needs no dressing but a little lemon juice mixed through will help stop the bananas browning off if you have to pre-prepare.
It is light, refreshing, a texture sensation and can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch or a snack. Our kids love it.
