The GFS-16 works well as a peeling knife or paring knife and is sort of between both. The down-turned tip of the blade is said to resemble the shape of a lamb's foot because of the curved edge and flat blade. For those wanting a proper peeler, we suggest the GSF-17 as it has a fully curved blade, but if it is a choice between a GSF-17 and a GSF-15, the GSF-16 is a good compromise and can be used for most small kitchen tasks.
The GSF-16 is made from forged CROMOVA 18 stainless steel, specially developed by GLOBAL as it holds a razor-sharp edge and resists rust, stains and corrosion. Ice tempered and hardened to Rockwell C56-58, each knife is carefully weighted for optimum performance and balance. Other unique features include its smooth contours and seamless construction which eliminates food and dirt traps offering the ultimate in safety and hygiene.
